Registered Nurse (Med Surg GCU) - Travel Assignment

Location

Kearney, Nebraska

Contract Details

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts (0600-1830 or 1800-0630)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Maximum of 1 holiday off during contract (typically May-Sept and Nov-Jan)
Floating: First to float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a Med Surg Unit (MSU) assignment unless telemetry trained
Patient Ratios: Maximum 1:6; Day shift Monday-Friday typically 1:5
Additional Shifts: Every other week, up to 2 extra shifts required per 6 weeks

Unit & Patient Population

Med Surg General Care Unit including general, orthopedic, neuro, and spine patients
Unit size: 23 beds

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
ACLS certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Experience

Med Surg specialty experience required (minimum 1 year implied by specialty; no explicit higher requirement stated)

Additional Information

Floating primarily to PCU unless telemetry trained
Shift scheduling includes day and night options, with nights noted in job data
