Position Details
- Unit: Cath Lab (3 main labs; includes 1 EP and 1 Hybrid lab for vascular & cardiac cases)
- Cases per day: 10-25
- Shift length: 12-hour days plus call
- Call requirement: 8-12 days per month
- Holidays: Included in rotation
- Floor-specific orientation: 2 days on the job
- Response time: 30 minutes
- Equipment: Phillips and Siemens; Telemetry by Phillips
- RT and Pharmacy coverage: 24/7
- No IV team; vents not applicable
- Charge nurse present
- Nurse aides are radiology techs (circulating and scrub), BLS certified
- Scrub color provided
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of core Cath Lab experience required
- Level I Trauma experience required; busy Level II considered
- Previous travel experience required for ED, Neuro ICU
- Cerner EMR experience required (also use Xper)
- ARRT certification required for techs who scrub
- Must hold Arizona MRTBE CRT license
- BLS certification required
- Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance (max 2 attempts)
- No facial piercings and only natural hair colors allowed
- Must not hold concurrent contracts with Dignity AZ (no double contracting)
- Must have own vehicle (travel teams only)
- No Cath Lab tech/RN teams considered
- Must be off CommonSpirit permanent staff for 12 months to qualify for travel assignment
- Minimum contract length: 13 weeks
Work Environment
- Parking assigned with shuttle service to facility (garage parking for night shift)
- Teaching hospital environment with nursing students
- Trauma Level: Level I (will consider busy Level II)
- Unit size: Cath Lab with 3 main labs
- Hospital size: 607 beds
- EMR: Cerner and Xper
Additional Notes
- Weekly orientations on Mondays (except holidays)
- Onboarding documents must be completed by Wednesday 1pm CST before start date or assignment will be delayed
- No local rates; 50-mile radius rule applies
- No travel teams with Cath Lab RNs
