Registered Nurse — Telemetry

Overview

• Travel nursing role in Reno, Nevada
• 13-week contract
• Night shift, 3x12 schedule
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nevada
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Schedule / Work Expectations

• May be required to float within competency level
• May float to intensive care, medical-surgical, and another regional facility for telemetry or medically appropriate assignments
• May be required to work major holidays
• May be asked to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts

Patient Population / Unit Focus

• Telemetry patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, COVID, and post-procedure cardiac patients
• May care for patients after pacemakers, ablations, cath lab procedures, and open-heart surgery once downgraded from ICU
• Uses non-titratable cardiac medication drips such as Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro

Work Environment

• Busy, fast-paced setting serving a large regional patient population
• Level II trauma center with stroke accreditation
