Job Opportunity: RN - Telemetry (Travel)

Job Description

• Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)
• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Number of Beds in Unit: 30
• Scope of Role:

  • Cardiac monitoring and interpretation
  • IV insertion and Foley insertion
  • Lab draws and point-of-care testing (blood glucose)
  • Medication administration and management of cardiac medications
  • Vital signs monitoring and assessment documentation
• Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership
  • Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
  • Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry
• Minimum Experience: 2 years (1-2+ years required, defaulting to higher value)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
• Additional Notes:

  • Must be willing to float to other units as needed
  • Scrub Color: Navy blue
  • EMR System: Cerner
