Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit & Patient Population

• Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCU)
• Care for medically delicate and surgically complex patients including:

  • Respiratory failure
  • Sepsis
  • Closed head injuries
  • Multi-system organ dysfunction
  • Endocrine disorders
  • Complex traumas
  • Surgical complications
• Average patient load: 3 high acuity patients

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (PCU/ICU nursing)
• Competent in care of medical and surgical populations
• Experience with:

  • ACLS certification
  • Advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage per titration protocols
  • Antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics
  • A-line, CVP, EVD, ortho traction
  • Infection prevention protocols
  • HFNC, BiPap/CPAP, and oxypendent
• Nurses with large scale adult PCU and community hospital ICU experience tend to do well

Additional Requirements

• Epic experience is required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Competency test required within 24 hours of submission
