Job Description

• Provide patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership for safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Patient ratio: 1:6

Requirements

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of RN experience required (higher value taken: 5 years).
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
• Licensure: Must have a valid California RN license.
• Clinical Skills:

  • Ventilator and tracheostomy care experience required.
  • Knowledge of central lines required.
  • Preferred wound care experience.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
