Travel RN Opportunity - Neurology Telemetry Unit

Position Details

• Shift: Night (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 (must specify on submission)
• Weekend Hours: As required by facility
• Call Requirements: None
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Licensure & Certifications

• Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri
• Required: BLS (AHA only), NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start if not currently held)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year inpatient Telemetry experience (required)
• Preferred: 1 year inpatient Neurology experience
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Unit & Patient Information

• Unit: Neurology 6C, 32 beds
• Patient Types: Neurology, Medical, Medical Telemetry
• Patient Ratios: Vary by shift (Day 1:5-1:6, Night 1:6-1:7) — ratios not guaranteed
• Equipment: Telemetry monitors, lift equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps
• EMR System: EPIC

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
• Perform drug titration competently
• Float on a rotational basis within the unit
• Adhere to facility mission, values, and service standards

Physical & Work Environment

• Stand and walk most of the shift
• Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
• Ability to push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
• Exposure to blood and body fluids
• Flexible scheduling may be required based on patient care needs

Dress Code

• Black scrubs only (no exceptions)

Additional Notes

• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (no declinations accepted)
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires full week availability
• Flexible guaranteed hours and blocked scheduling may be approved but must be indicated on submission
• Time off requests (RTO) cannot be approved during the first week of assignment; holiday RTO limited to one per assignment

This role is ideal for a Telemetry RN with at least 1 year of inpatient experience seeking a night shift travel assignment in a well-recognized hospital with a focus on neurology and medical telemetry care.
