Location: Dexter, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide physical therapy services in an acute care hospital outpatient setting. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and function, and prevent deformity.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, including experience within the last year
- At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Administer various physical therapy interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, hydrotherapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy, and more
- Monitor and adjust treatments to maximize patient outcomes
- Delegate treatment tasks to physical therapy assistants as appropriate
- Educate patients and families on home care and treatment continuation
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and discharge information accurately and timely
- Discharge patients when goals are met and arrange appropriate follow-up care
- Comply with Missouri Physical Therapy practice regulations
- Provide training and supervision to less experienced therapists and students
- Participate in clinical instruction for PT and PTA students from accredited programs
- Take leadership roles in clinic operations and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and cooperative work environment
