Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel

Job Description

Work on a 32-bed General Surgical Unit specializing in postoperative care for general surgical patients.
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6.
Responsibilities include pain management, mobility assistance, bedside procedures, and providing a comfortable, healing environment tailored to individual patient needs.
Collaborate closely with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgeons.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
Schedule options: 36 or 48 hours per week.
Work every other weekend and holidays as required.
Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
Parking available.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg / Telemetry within the last year.
Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification.

Additional Information

This is a patient-facing, clinical position.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
