Position Details

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nursing (Med Surg)
• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Number of Openings: 3
• Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: As required by the facility
• Call Requirements: As required by the facility
• Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Years of Experience Required: 2+ years in Med Surg (highest requirement)
• Prior Travel Experience Required: No indication of prior travel experience required
• Float Requirements: Must float as needed (non-negotiable)

Unit Information

• Department: Medical Surgical
• Floor: 3 Surgical Cardiac
• Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 5 patients (1:5)
• EMR System: EPIC
• Type of Patients: Post cardiac surgery, cardiac, and general medical patients

Job Responsibilities & Skills

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care
• Maintain professional accountability for patient care
• Evaluate effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers
• Coordinate patient care with other departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information
• Perform duties consistent with the facility’s mission, values, and service standards
