Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Location: Biddeford, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with experience in ICU, ER (including pediatric intubation and mechanical ventilation), Nursery (Level 1), and Med Surge floors. The RRT will float throughout the hospital, providing respiratory care to patients ranging from newborns to adults.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Maine
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, with experience within the last year
• Current certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Experience working with pediatric patients and high-risk patients
• Experience in acute care and inpatient settings
• Participation as part of a resuscitation team
• Proficient with Epic electronic medical record system

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in NICU and PICU settings, comfortable and competent treating critically ill newborns and pediatric patients in the ER

Work Details

• Shift: Nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: 36 hours
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Must float to all areas of the hospital

Unit Information

• Approximately 159 beds
• Equipment includes Drager V500 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilator, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, neopuff, and Ram cannula
• Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC

Prior Travel Experience
