Job Opportunity: RN Charge/Supervisor

Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Manage day-to-day operations and long-term planning of the patient care area.
• Direct and develop nursing staff, including selection, orientation, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Provide physical, psychological, and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Ensure compliance with nursing operational, financial, and quality standards.
• Develop and update nursing policies and procedures.
• Enforce adherence to state board of nursing regulations and nurse practice act.
• Monitor patient care documentation and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment and oversee infection control policies.
• Manage nursing supplies and equipment inventory.
• Participate in professional development and maintain current nursing knowledge.
• Foster cooperative relationships within healthcare teams.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wyoming
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a House Supervisor in a hospital setting, including experience within the last year
• Experience in supervisory roles
• Certifications issued by the American Heart Association:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
