Job Overview

Position: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Facility: Berkshire Medical Center, part of Berkshire Health Systems
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: RRT Days

Required Certifications

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support

  • AHA or Red Cross preferred. Required for all positions in ER, ICU, Med/Surg, PCU, Tele, CVICU, GI Lab, PACU, and L&D.

• BLS - Basic Life Support

  • AHA or Red Cross preferred. Required for all candidates.

• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support

  • AHA or Red Cross preferred. Not required for ICU.

• CNOR - Certified Nurse (OR)

  • Required for RNFA.

• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course

  • Preferred for ER, but not required.

• Tech Cert Verification - National

  • National Tech Cert as applicable.

• NIH Stroke Certification

  • Required for MS/Tele.

Health Documents

• Physical Exam

  • Required within 1 year of start.

• Fit Testing

  • Required using 3M N95 Model 1860 for all units, including OR.

• TB Testing

  • Negative PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or Tspot within 1 year of start. If past positive, must have a negative chest X-ray dated after the positive.

• Vaccinations

  • Tdap vaccine required.
  • Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 required prior to start.
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season (10/1 - 3/31).

  • Required prior to start.

• Emergency Contact Form

  • Required prior to start.

• Background Check

  • Standard background check required, updated annually.

• References

  • Documentation of 2 recent work references required.

• Skills Checklist

  • Required annually.

• State Specific Search

  • MA Nurse Aide Registry Search required for all candidates in MA.

Notes

• Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof prior to starting.
• Exemptions for vaccinations must be documented and approved by the facility.
• All candidates will undergo a pass/fail testing on their first day of orientation.
