Required Experience

Minimum of 18 months recent ICU experience
Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in ICU specialty prior to travel assignments

Required Licenses & Certifications

Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
NIH Stroke Certification
ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate pass required during orientation

Required Qualifications & Compliance

Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID) required and must be carried on assignment
Background checks including:
- FCRA compliant 7-year search
- EPLS/GSA/SAM monthly checks
- HHS/OIG monthly checks
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting (must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing and updated annually)
Education verification required
Physical exam within 1 year of start, including Snellen eye exam
Fit mask test (3M N95) within 12 months, updated annually
Immunizations and health requirements:
- Tdap vaccine every 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
- Hepatitis B vaccination or titer
- Varicella vaccination or titer
- Annual flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption
Drug screening: Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually (instant drug screens not accepted)
References: 2 professional references from employment within the past year (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director)
Employment application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar area
Annual skills checklist and unit-specific competency exams required
Pass/fail ECG and medication testing during orientation (SafeMedicate and ECG rhythm recognition)
Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)

Orientation & Testing

ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate testing during orientation; passing scores required
Pass/fail testing exemptions for legacy candidates with less than 6 months gap between contracts
Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency testing

Additional Notes

Candidates may start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start
Facility requires latex allergy notification if applicable
Candidates must complete all onboarding modules before clearance to start
Modules cannot be completed on phones and must be completed in Google Chrome
Candidates with a break of more than 6 months between Cleveland Clinic assignments may need to re-complete modules and orientation
