Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech Maternal Fetal

Location: Farmington, New Mexico (Travel to Gallup, Farmington, and Santa Fe clinics)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Traveling position covering multiple clinics in New Mexico (Gallup, Farmington, Santa Fe)
  • Shift hours: 5:15 AM to 7:00 PM (includes travel time between facilities)
  • Team transportation provided; sonographer drives outreach van on some days
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
  • Cases involve low and high level Women’s Imaging for pregnant women
  • Equipment used: GE E22, GE E10, GE S10
  • No weekend shifts required
  • No on-call duties

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography, including experience within the last year
  • Experience in Fetal Echocardiography
  • Ob/Gyn Sonographer experience
  • ARDMS certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
  • Proficient in low level Women’s Imaging for pregnant women

Prior Travel Experience

  • First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Additional Requirements and Compliance

  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
  • Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (unless completed within past 12 months)
  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Drug screening within 30 days of start (instant drug screens not accepted)
  • Immunizations required:
    • Rubeola (Measles) - 2 vaccines or positive titer
    • Mumps - 2 vaccines or positive titer
    • Rubella - 2 vaccines or positive titer
    • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer (history of disease not accepted)
    • Hepatitis B (declination, series, or titer)
    • Annual flu vaccination or approved exemption
  • Medication and competency exams required (including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency for applicable units)
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and facility-specific compliance forms required

Notes

  • Locals within 75 miles are not accepted for this position
  • Pending state license accepted
  • Overtime applies after 48 hours worked
  • RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: absences greater than 7 days require approval
