Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)


Job Description

  • Hospital-based assignment at a major medical center.
  • Operates on a two-tech model (no working alone).
  • Specialty focus: Cardiology and general nuclear medicine only (no PET).
  • Equipment: GE scanner.
  • Schedule: 5x8 or possibly 4x10 shifts, with start times at 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM.
  • Call Requirements: 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month; additional call available if interested.
  • Primary work location is Memorial Campus with possible float to nearby University Campus.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year.
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients.
  • Experience working with Neonate patients.

Additional Requirements

  • Must have valid Driver’s License/State ID.
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings required.
  • Health documents including physical exam, immunizations (TB, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Flu, COVID-19), and drug testing required.
  • Competency exams and medication/pharmacology testing required as applicable.
  • References: 2 references within 3 years of start date.
  • Employment application must cover 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
  • Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually.
