Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: New Haven, Connecticut

Job Description

  • Work schedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts
  • Coverage across two campuses (bi-campus coverage)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Floating within scope to meet facility needs
  • Weekend work: Not required
  • On-call: Not required
  • Locals not accepted
  • Pending license accepted but must be active prior to start date
  • Guaranteed hours

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Connecticut, active prior to start date
  • Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Special Requirements

  • Bi-campus coverage (York Street Campus and Saint Raphael Campus)
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal background check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Sex Offender Search, Education Verification, and Foreign Equivalency Education Evaluation (if applicable)
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually
  • Drug screening (10 panel) within 12 months
  • Various health immunizations and screenings including TB, Tdap (preferred for certain specialties), MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccination or exemption, and COVID vaccination preferred
  • Competency exams and color blindness testing required
  • Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for new candidates

  • Charting system: Epic
  • Scrubs provided (Misty Green OR scrubs)

Additional Notes

  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • No block scheduling accommodations
  • RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: RTO > 7 days requires approval
  • Must provide a 7-year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days
  • Supervisor reference required within the past year for Cardio Thoracic ICU/CTICU (not applicable here but noted for related specialties)
