Job Description
- Seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a broad range of general nuclear medicine experience and therapy.
- Equipment used includes Siemens cameras (Symbia, Intevo SPECT/CT, and Biograph MCT Flow PET/CT).
- Responsibilities include rotating between General Nuclear Medicine (routine studies such as Bones, Gastrics, Hepatos, Renals, etc.) and PET/CT.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted.
Required Experience
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Medicine Technologist)

- NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) – Required within 30 days of start.
- NIH Stroke Certification – If applicable.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) – CPI Blue Card required; can be completed onsite.
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) – Required for various units; travelers have two attempts to pass.
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment.
Background Checks & Verifications
- Criminal background checks (county, national, sex offender, FACIS III).
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated annually.
- Education verification or signed official transcript/diploma.
- Employment verification for the past 7 years.
- References: Two references verified within 6 months of start (manager or supervisor preferred).
- Skills checklists updated annually.
- Application must explain any employment gaps longer than 30 days.
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually.
- Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually.
- TB questionnaire annually if history of positive TB.
- Immunity or vaccination for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B.
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, updated annually.
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required year-round; medical/religious exemptions accepted.
- COVID vaccination series or medical/religious exemption required; booster preferred but not required.
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (passing score 80% or higher).
- Color Blind Testing Online.
- Unit-specific competency exams (multiple may be required).
- Core Parts I, II, and III competency exams.
- Conscious Sedation Competency Exam.
- RN Math Ability Competency Exam (basic or advanced).
- All competency exams must be current and renewed prior to clearance.
