Travel Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Saratoga Springs, NY

Required Qualifications

• Valid New York RN license
• Minimum 2 years acute hospital nursing experience
• Prior travel experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed based on skillset

Additional Requirements

• No local candidates allowed within a 50-mile radius or from specified counties in the Albany area
• Must pass advanced EKG/ECG competency testing within 72 hours of contract signing (90% passing score required; up to 3 attempts allowed)
• Completion of medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Completion of color blindness testing preferred
• Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training (New York State requirement for all RNs)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start date (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold acceptable; T-spot not accepted)
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella, and Hepatitis B as per facility policy
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start date
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required prior to start
• Fit testing for N95 mask (3M 1870 quantitative test required)
• Passport-style photo for badge
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start date

Compliance & Documentation

• Government-issued photo ID
• Background checks including 7-year work/living history, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions list (updated annually)
• Facility-specific forms including lift assessment, FCRA authorization, TSH medical history, PPD questionnaire, and others as required
• References: 2 professional references for travel or acute care roles within 2 years

This position requires a dedicated travel RN with acute care experience, prior travel assignments, and the ability to meet strict credentialing and competency requirements. Candidates must be flexible to float and comply with all health and safety protocols.
