Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Position requires working rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays (at least 50% of holidays), and during inclement weather.
• Active role involving ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs.
• Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is routine.
• Must be able to work full shifts, take call, and float as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Maternal-Newborn nursing experience of at least 1 year, including experience within the last year
• Post Partum nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work at the assigned location for the full contract term.
• Must be able to work assigned weekends, holidays, and take call.
• Must provide 2 professional references from the last 2 years.
• Resume must document at least 7 years of employment history with no gaps over 30 days.
• Completion of facility-specific forms and acknowledgments (e.g., HIPAA, confidentiality agreements) within 60 days of start.

Physical Demands

• Active role requiring physical stamina to ambulate, reach, and move objects over 20 lbs.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 healthcare environment with rotating shifts and holiday coverage.

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with a background in Mother-Baby, Post Partum, or Couplet Care nursing who are flexible with shift work and holiday coverage.
