Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Washington State Registered Nurse License
• American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Card
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification)

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to scrub-in and circulate for Heart Catheterizations and arteriograms
• Understanding of hemodynamic components
• Assess and document patient’s current health status and medical history
• Complete and review Admission Data Records per policy
• Make accurate and ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately
• Plan and implement nursing actions based on patient needs and Nurse Practice Standards
• Evaluate and revise plan of care based on new data and patient condition
• Document patient status accurately to ensure safety and proper charge capture

• Specialty: Registered Nurse

Background & Health Requirements

• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Education verification (including US equivalency if applicable)
• Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Tdap vaccine or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccines or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge
• Completion of confidentiality, crime disclosure, and potential conflict of interest statements
• Two professional references completed within 1 year of start
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with appropriate licensure and certifications, comfortable with cardiac catheterization procedures, and able to work a full-time 13-week travel contract in Washington state.
