Job Description
- Must have scrub experience to be considered.
- Ability to circulate and scrub in the following specialty areas:
- Transplant (Liver and Kidney)
- Endoscopy
- Vascular and vascular emergencies
- Neurosurgery
- Trauma (including MVA, gunshot, and stabbings)
- Circulate hearts
- General surgery
- Pediatrics
- Microbiology
Experience Requirements
- Years of Specialty Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years typical for travel RN unless otherwise specified.

Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for ER and applicable specialties

- NIH Stroke Certification – As applicable
- Pass/Fail Testing: Medication exam required for all RNs; Telemetry exam required for RNs working in telemetry units (only one attempt allowed, minimum 80% score)
Licensure & Verification
- State License Verification: Required within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification: Required within 30 days prior to start
- Tech Cert Verification: Required within 30 days of start
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start (including SSN trace, county search, national criminal search, OIG, SAM, education verification)
- Massachusetts Statewide iCORI clearance required and updated annually
- Sex offender search (for subcontractors if separate from background check)
- Education verification (transcript acceptable if education verification not possible; diplomas not accepted)
- Employment application covering 7 years with explanation of gaps over 30 days
- Two professional references within 3 years of start
- Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness without restrictions
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable; TB questionnaire required for all candidates
- Immunizations or valid declinations required for:
- COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
- Influenza (seasonal vaccine or declination)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – Declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, Maternity, NICU
- Hepatitis B – 3 dose series, reactive titer, or declination with documentation
- Varicella – Positive titer, 2 vaccines, provider-documented history, or declination
- TDAP – Declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, Maternity, NICU
- Drug testing within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required)

- Valid driver's license or state ID required
- Compliance with facility-specific declinations and documentation policies
- Medication and telemetry exams must be passed on the first day of orientation to avoid cancellation
