Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Huntingdon, Pennsylvania

Shift:

• Night shift (7pm - 7am) primary shift with minimal rotation to day shift (7am - 7pm)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required (1st time travelers are accepted)
• No prior travel experience required

Licensure & Certifications:

• Pennsylvania or Compact RN license in hand
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification (required for all RNs, must be renewed annually)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care Units (annual certification required)
• NURSYS Verification required

Patient Ratios:

• Ratios will fluctuate depending on census

Contract Length:

• 13 weeks

Geographic Restriction:

• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius

Required Background Checks & Verifications

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start (including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, PA statewide)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Education verification (transcripts, diplomas, or 3rd party verifications)
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search (PA Childline) within 1 year of start
• PA Department of Human Services Fingerprint results (FBI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start)

Required Health Documents & Immunizations

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 6 months of start or chest x-ray within 5 years
• Tdap vaccination within the past 10 years (declinations accepted with facility form)
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; declinations accepted with facility form; candidates born before 1957 exempt
• Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination accepted
• Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox; declinations accepted
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (mask required if declining during flu season Nov-April)
• COVID vaccine or declination

Additional Requirements

• Government issued photo ID required
• Photo for badge (passport style, no filters)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation packet and acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of facility-specific medical surveillance checklist prior to start
• Completion of facility-specific bloodborne pathogen quiz prior to start
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years of hire
• Annual skills checklist required
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Competency exam as applicable
