Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Overview

Travel/contract RN role in Washington, DC
Start date: ASAP
13-week contract
Day or night shifts, 3x12 hours
Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2; if floated to NICU, up to 1:3

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in District of Columbia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
2 years of Critical Care Float experience within the last year
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
CVPICU experience
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
CHEMO - Chemotherapy

Schedule and Assignment Details

Every other weekend required
Block scheduling for weekends may be accommodated
No on-call requirement
Floating required within scope between NICU, PICU, and CVPICU
Local candidates accepted
RTO limit: 7 days maximum; 1 consecutive week of RTO must be made up by extending the contract by 1 week

Additional Notes

Strong PICU experience is required
Must be comfortable floating to CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
Cerner charting
Child-friendly scrubs only; no logos
