Overview

Travel/contract role in Issaquah, Washington
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Contract length: 26 weeks
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
First-time travelers are accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Washington
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
FHM
AWHONN Intermediate
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Preferred

ACLS

Clinical Setting

Labor and preterm labor patient population
Unit includes 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
Core responsibilities include circulating, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrub, low-risk antepartum, and low-risk labor and delivery care
Performs blood and blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket use, drain management, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac care, and medication infusions including heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
Supports deliveries, high-risk deliveries, gynecologic surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum care, and transition nursery care

Work Environment

Staffing ratio: 1:1–3
Floating may be required to postpartum and possibly to Labor & Delivery at another campus

Scheduling / Holiday Expectations

May request up to 2 major holidays off
Required to work 1 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve

Additional Notes

Compact license is honored for active holders from other Swedish facilities
Candidates from other Providence facilities outside Swedish may be eligible after a 3-month separation
