PACU

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Huntington, West Virginia.
• 13-week assignment.
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 5:00–17:30.
• Schedule is Monday through Friday only; no weekends or holidays.
• Staff work either 1x12-hour shift and 3x8-hour shifts per week, with rotating shifts.
• The department is a 29-bed outpatient surgery unit that also serves outpatient endoscopy pre/post and pain management pre/post patients.
• The department provides pre-operative and post-operative care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia.
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year.
• 1 year of PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience.
• One completed travel assignment.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• NIHSS.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.

Preferred

• AAA aneurysm experience.

Unit / Setting

• Outpatient surgery department with outpatient endoscopy and pain management pre/post care.
• Wide variety of cases including neurosurgery, urology, orthopedics, general, and vascular.
• Open Monday through Friday from 5:00am to 9:00pm.
