Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 5x8 hour shifts (hours vary between 7 AM - 5 PM)
Weekend Requirement: On-call required

Job Description

• Work within the Interventional Radiology department
• Provide nursing care specific to interventional radiology patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology nursing experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Ability to be on-call on weekends

Certifications (as applicable)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred but not required for this role
• Other certifications may be required depending on specific unit assignments

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check including SSN, counties lived/worked, national sex offender registry, OFAC, FACIS Level 3, and education verification
• State-specific searches and verifications required prior to start
• Education verification of highest degree obtained
• Drug testing (9-panel including marijuana) within 30 days of start, renewed annually
• Physical exam and health clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
• Fit mask testing (N95 or PAPR) within 1 year, renewed annually
• Immunizations and/or proof of immunity for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • TB screening (negative test or chest x-ray as applicable)
  • Measles, Mumps, Varicella (positive titer or vaccination)
  • Hepatitis B (declination, proof of series, or positive titer)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved declination

Competency Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (80% score or meet Angoff score)
• Color blindness testing
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (if applicable)

References and Work History

• Two professional references required, at least one within 1 year of start
• Complete employment application including 7 years of work history with no unexplained gaps over 30 days

Additional Notes

• On-call weekend availability is required
• Compliance with all facility-specific documentation and confidentiality agreements is mandatory
• Timely completion of all required documentation and background checks is critical for onboarding
