Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Bethpage, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
• 48 hours per week preferred; 36 hours accepted
• Minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Orientation

• Orientation date subject to change based on Nursing Education availability

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Driver’s license or state ID with clear picture and address
• 7-year background check including multiple federal and state-level screenings, updated annually
• Education verification (diploma or transcript acceptable)
• Physical exam using facility-specific form completed by a physician within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Fit test for N95 mask (3M 1860 or Halyard Fluidshield), completed within 12 months prior to start, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start date
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (antibody and antigen results required)
  • Varicella
• Standard 9-panel drug screen completed within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination required (October 1 – April 30), declinations allowed for medical/religious reasons
• COVID vaccine series preferred

Competency Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (minimum score 80%)

Additional Notes

• Candidates must provide interview availability in Eastern Standard Time for the next two business days to be submitted
• Locals within 75 miles considered; preference given to 48-hour work weeks
