Registered Nurse - Stepdown
Location: Hannibal, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Stepdown Unit)
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts
- Patient Ratio: 1:3
- Experience Required: 2 years (higher end of 1-2 years specified)
- First-time travelers accepted: Yes
- On-call: Every 3rd weekend
- Float: May float within scope to med tele, med surg, and rehab units as needed
- Charge Nurse: May be scheduled for charge duties if possible
- Isolation Patients: Must be comfortable caring for isolation patients, including COVID-19
- Clinical Skills: Experience with drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Dobutamine)
- Special Procedures/Equipment: Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Bipap, Airvo
- Local Travel Restriction: No local travelers within a 60-mile radius
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Missouri RN license or compact license
- ACLS (AHA only)
- BLS (AHA only)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Stepdown nursing experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Amiodarone drips
- Experience with Dobutamine drips
- Experience performing Thoracentesis
- Experience performing Paracentesis
- Experience with BiPAP
- Experience with Airvo

- Total staffed beds: 99
- Charting system: EPIC

- Block scheduling requests may be accommodated at time of submission

Nurse:patient ratios are great. This SDU has the best UTL and Director I’ve worked with in quite awhile.

Finding housing is a bit tough with it being a small town.
