Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to work in a hospital setting with a focus on inpatient rehabilitation. The role involves assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and correct disabling conditions caused by disease or injury.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical treatment programs to maintain, improve, or restore physical function and alleviate pain.
• Conduct patient evaluations and tests, document findings per regulatory standards.
• Develop and update patient Plans of Care based on assessments and diagnoses.
• Provide and progress treatment according to the Plan of Care.
• Complete all required documentation related to therapy and charge capture.
• Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers and support team members.
• Provide clinical supervision to assistants and aides; serve as clinical instructor for students.
• Participate in quality improvement and interdisciplinary projects.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding patient privacy and safety.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Experience in a rehabilitation setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Certifications & Licenses

• California Physical Therapist License (required)
• BLS Certification (required)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender search, and education verification.
• FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required annually.
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law).
• Education verification and transcript/diploma verification as applicable.
• TB screening and questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually.
• Immunizations: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu vaccination documentation required as per facility policy.
• Drug testing and other health screenings as required.

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with facility-specific documents including job description review, standards of business conduct, vendor training, code of conduct, and regulatory orientation.
• Must complete employment application with full 7 years of work history and verifications.
• References: 2 professional references required for clinical candidates within 3 years of hire.
