Job Opportunity: Outpatient Oncology Pharmacist

Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking an Outpatient Oncology Pharmacist with infusion center experience. Candidates with inpatient experience and oncology background may also be considered.

Shift Details

Rotating shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (start times may vary, some as early as 7:00 AM)
Weekend and holiday rotation required (clinic usually closed on holidays and weekends)
No on-call required
Floating within scope is not required
Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager’s discretion
First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid Pharmacist license in Virginia
Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
Experience in an outpatient setting
Intravenous preparation experience including:
- IV Piggyback
- IV push medications
- Packaging antineoplastic agents
- Sterile technique

Special Equipment

Handling hazardous and non-hazardous medications

Additional Notes

Locals accepted
Return-to-Office restrictions at manager’s discretion
