Job Details

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
  • Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
  • Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
  • Immunizations & Health Screenings:
    • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
    • COVID vaccine or declination
  • Respirator Fit Testing: Required for travel starts on or after 2/5/2024, updated annually
  • References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
  • Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format

Scheduling & Uniform

  • Dress Code: Solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs for licensed nursing personnel
  • Parking: Free in unrestricted employee/visitor lots

Additional Notes

  • Floating Policy: May be required to float to other units or facilities within reasonable distance
  • Competency Exams: Medication and specialty-specific competency exams as applicable
  • Annual Regulatory and Specialty-Specific Modules: Required completion via assigned learning management system prior to start and annually thereafter
