Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Every other weekend required
- Experience with adults, adult critical care, and Emergency Department (ED) required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required
- Dress code: Khaki or black bottoms with royal blue top
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), including experience within the last year
- Experience working with adult patients, including adult critical care
- Experience in Emergency Department (ED) settings
- Experience with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Teaching hospital experience
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Additional Requirements
- Must complete criminal background check within 12 months prior to start
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- Drug screening within 12 months prior to start
- OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start (fit testing completed onsite during orientation)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and checklists
- Required immunizations and/or documentation including:
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (annual)
- COVID vaccine series preferred
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination proof
- Varicella immunity or vaccination proof
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or declination (for new candidates)
Work Environment
- Level 1 Trauma center
- Teaching hospital setting
- Use of EPIC electronic health record system
- Fit testing for respirators conducted onsite during orientation
- Candidates must be willing to comply with dress code and facility policies
Notes
- Candidates will be required to complete various facility-specific documents and training modules prior to and during orientation
- Fit testing requires candidates to be clean-shaven; refusal may result in cancellation of assignment
- Orientation checklists must be completed and returned within the first week of assignment
