Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Float

Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 18:45 - 7:15)
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 3 shifts per 13 weeks

Job Description

Float to all Medical-Surgical-Intermediate (MSI) units including Emergency Department inpatient holds.
Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed.
Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period (Friday/Saturday/Sunday combination).
No block scheduling accommodations.
Local candidates accepted.
No pending licenses accepted.
Return to work restrictions: No more than 7 days.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with at least some experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (must be updated annually unless otherwise specified)
