Position Details

- Shift Options: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, as needed by the unit
- Floating: Yes, within hospital only (no floating to sister hospitals)
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated unless otherwise stated

- Return to Office Restrictions: 1 week max
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
On-Call & Scheduling
- No on-call required
- Guaranteed hours may be adjusted based on census; possible call-off or on-call in 4-hour increments up to one shift in a 2-week cycle
- No scheduling on weekends/holidays for ambulatory or surgical services areas that are closed

Required Documentation & Compliance
- Social Security Card (if used on I9)
- 7-year criminal background check within 45 days of start
- Education verification or diploma/transcript as applicable
- Various background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Sex Offender Search, and Washington State WATCH search
- Primary source verification of state license
- Photo for badge (DMV style, no selfies)
- Signed agreements and department checklists as required
- Physical exam (required by agency)
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start (specific mask types required)
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TDAP (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination)
- Varicella (titer or vaccines; history of disease not accepted at some locations)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination
- COVID vaccination or declination documentation
- Drug screening (10 panel) within one year of start (agency requirement)
Additional Certifications (may be required depending on unit)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy certification)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exams
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (may be required depending on unit)
Notes
- First-time travelers accepted
- Performance evaluations may be requested at assignment end
- Candidates must complete an EPIC integration video and attestation prior to start
- Suicide prevention training required for nurses using multi-state licenses in Washington (not applicable to RRTs)
