Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Elizabethtown, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks

Job Description

• Floating required (may need to float to a nearby campus).
• Minimum of every other weekend coverage and/or schedule adjustments to meet unit and patient care needs.
• Equipment used includes Philips Ingenuity 64 CT unit, GE Rad rooms with Fuji digital plates, and Philips digital portable x-ray unit.
• Schedule: Monday to Sunday, no block schedules.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Experience with Epic.
• Prior travel experience.

Additional Requirements

• Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended (public transportation is not accessible).
• Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires during November – April.

Certifications & Compliance

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications as required by the unit/job description (must be AHA certified).
• National tech certification verification within 30 days of assignment start.
• State license primary source verification within 30 days of start and upon expiration.
• Background check within 30 days of start covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years.
• Education verification as required.
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as required.
• Color blind testing required.
• Competency exams as required by specialty.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start (required for this assignment).
• N95 fit test required prior to assignment start and updated annually.
• Tdap vaccination within 10 years or Tdap titer.
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within past 12 months, updated annually.
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
• Hepatitis B series and titer or signed declination.
• Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
• Drug testing within 12 months of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination documentation required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31).
• COVID vaccination or declination required.
• Pneumonia vaccination or declination required for NY facilities.

Documentation & Onboarding

• Complete all work history details including bed count, EMR, and facility type.
• Provide 2 professional references from assignments within the last 3 years.
• Skills checklist within 12 months.
• Employment application required.
• Work history verification for the past 2 years.
• Photo for badge (passport style, plain light background, no logos or hats) required 2 weeks prior to start.
• Auto insurance proof required if using a vehicle.
• Completion of EPIC and Cornerstone modules prior to start (approximately 8 hours, non-billable).
• Completion of COVID questionnaire and attestation forms as required.
• Completion of various facility-specific forms including abuse registry consent, emergency contact, vaccination declinations, and others as applicable.

Notes

• Orientation sessions held bi-weekly on Mondays.
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
• Reliable transportation is essential due to lack of public transit.
• Masking and COVID testing protocols must be followed on site.

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with solid radiology experience, recent EPIC proficiency, and prior travel contract experience who are licensed or in the process of obtaining licensure in New York.
