Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU

Location: Cartersville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Unit Details

  • Weekend Schedule: Every Other Weekend
  • Call: None
  • Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year (First-time travelers accepted)
  • Holiday Work: If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it; if 2 holidays, expected to work both; if 3 holidays, expected to work two.
  • Major Holidays Include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day
  • Orientation Hours: Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8 weeks)
  • Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
  • Locals accepted at same rate

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
  • Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Information

  • Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted.
  • Floating assignments may be required within the facility and scope of practice.
  • Candidates must comply with all orientation and credentialing requirements to start on time.
  • Candidates should be prepared to work assigned major holidays as outlined.
