Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse

Location: Marlton, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Strong, recent Home Health nursing experience is required.
• Patient population primarily includes those discharged from hospitals and nursing facilities.
• Common procedures and care include wound care, wound vacs, Pleurx drains, ostomies, heart failure management, diabetes care, oncology, post-surgical care, and orthopedic cases.
• Productivity expectation is approximately 6 visits per day (admissions count as 2 visits).
• Work schedule includes every 5th weekend and every other holiday.
• No mileage reimbursement provided.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
• Minimum 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
• Med Surg experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience in a Home Health setting.
• Experience with OASIS electronic medical records.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification as applicable.
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP).
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and federal exclusions.
• Drug screening (10 panel, THC included only if 11+ panels tested).
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable.
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption.
• Physical exam within the last 12 months.
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation.
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable.

Additional Requirements

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work (I9, government-issued photo ID).
• Completion of facility-specific documents including badge photo and insurance verification.
• Two professional references within the last 2 years.
• Employment application and skills checklist updated annually.
• Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start date (New Jersey state requirement).
