Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Registered Nurse
Location: Orangeburg, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse – Endoscopy
- Shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
- On-call: Yes, including weekend call
- Floating: No floating between units or facilities required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.

- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; guaranteed hours are not absolute.
- During hurricane season (June–November), employees may be assigned to emergency response teams.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Candidates must complete and maintain the following prior to start and throughout the assignment:
Background & Verification
- Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
- Federal and state sanction screenings (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
- Education verification (diploma/transcripts as needed)
- NURSYS license verification (for RNs)
- Work history verification of last 3 clinical employers
Health & Immunizations
- Physical exam updated annually, attesting ability to meet job demands
- Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start or chest x-ray if previously positive
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Tdap (within 10 years or declination form)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccination)
- Varicella (positive titer or vaccination)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
Drug Testing
- 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests accepted)
Certifications & Competencies
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Color blindness test prior to start
- Other certifications as required by unit or specialty
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of orientation modules prior to start (approx. 4-6 hours)
- Submission of a clear, passport-style badge photo
- Radiation badge if applicable (not required for Endoscopy RN)
- Respirator medical clearance annually (RespSafety questionnaire)
