Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift Details
- Schedule: Wednesday to Saturday
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4x9 shift, 36 hours per week)
Job Summary
- Independently perform Nuclear Medicine procedures using proper techniques and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Work within scope of practice and licensure for medication administration, equipment operation, and venipuncture.
- Coordinate patient flow and department activities, including radiation protection practices.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition.
- May perform procedures in other imaging modalities as needed.
- May have on-call responsibilities.
Required Education
- Minimum: Associate degree in Allied Health
- Major: Nuclear Medicine Technology
Required Licensure/Certification
- CPR Certification
- Nuclear Medicine Registry
- Ohio Department of Health (ODH) licensure (pending approval)
- ARRT RT (R) registry and/or NMTCB certification
Experience Requirements
- Minimum: No prior job-related work experience required
- Preferred: 1 year experience in specialized Nuclear Medicine field
Required Documentation & Compliance
- I-9 and E-Verify completed prior to start
- Government-issued photo ID
- 7-year criminal background check (including SSN trace, national and county checks, sex offender registry)
- Education verification (primary source)
- Physical exam within 2 years indicating fitness for work
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (with annual updates if past positive)
- Drug screening within 12 months, including marijuana panel
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (no declinations accepted)
- Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years (1 must be a manager/supervisor)
- Current resume/application
- Skills checklist updated within 1 year
Additional Certifications (if applicable)
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM certifications as required by specific units or roles (not mandatory for this position unless specified)

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
- Fingerprinting is not required unless working in specific units (e.g., NICU, Pediatrics).
- Candidate must comply with all facility-specific health and safety requirements.

- No prior job-related work experience required
