Registered Nurse (PCU) - Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Shift: Night Shift (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work on an acute care ortho trauma unit with Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients.
• Patient diagnoses include small bowel obstruction (SBO), falls, lacerations, pneumonia (PNA), head injury, traumatic brain injury (TBI), trauma, ileus, fistula, and fractures.
• Responsibilities include IV starts, general nursing care, patient monitoring, lab work, medication administration, and patient education.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
• Telemetry (Tele) experience is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Telemetry experience.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Additional Information

• Parking permits are available for agency staff at varying costs and access levels (details provided upon request).
• Fingerprinting results must be obtained prior to start; new fingerprinting required if there is a break in service of 90+ days or if results are older than 1 year.
• Background checks do not require annual renewal by the client but must be maintained annually by the staffing agency.
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and documentation requirements.

This travel Registered Nurse position on a PCU night shift requires at least 2 years of PCU experience, strong acute care skills including telemetry, and proficiency with EPIC.
