Audiologist Travel/Contract Position
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5 days/week, 8 hours/day)

Job Summary
- Diagnose and provide aural rehabilitative services for patients with hearing loss.
- Administer various hearing tests to determine hearing levels and prescribe hearing aids or special training.
- Coordinate audiometric results with other diagnostic data and assist in hearing aid selection and treatment planning.
- Accepts first-time travelers.
- EPIC system experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Audiologist license in Louisiana.
- Minimum of 1 year of Audiologist experience, including experience within the last year.
- ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Experience with EPIC system.
Experience
- No explicit years of experience stated; open to first-time travelers.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID matching all candidate documentation.
- Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years, including Social Security trace, sex offender, federal checks, and more. Must be updated annually.
- Education verification of highest degree (minimum high school, GED, or college degree).
- Drug screening within 30 days of start (specific panels required).
- Employment application with 7 years of work history, no gaps over 30 days.
- Photo for badge.
- Various health documents including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declinations accepted with proper forms).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per current guidelines.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with booster requirements if needed.
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer with booster requirements if needed.
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31), with exemptions and declinations accepted.
- Competency exams and annual updates as required by facility policies.
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required.
- Must be able to complete all required verifications and certifications within specified timeframes (mostly within 30 days of start).
- Compliance with employee appearance policy and facility-specific requirements is mandatory.
