Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Night shift schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Immediate start preferred
• Work location within a 50-mile radius restriction
• Facility type: Magnet-designated, Major Teaching Hospital, Level I Trauma Center
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
• EMR system: Meditech
• Required skill: IV start

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam confirming ability to meet job demands
• Immunizations or titers required (or facility-specific declination forms):

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccine series)
  • Varicella
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination
  • COVID vaccination or declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (Qgold, Tspot, or 2-step PPD)
• Drug screening: 10-panel test within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)

Documentation and Compliance

• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Performance evaluation if previously completed assignments through any agency
• Complete employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
• Facility-specific documents including:

  • Badge photo (no hats, sunglasses, filters, or shadows)
  • Confidentiality agreement and job description acknowledgment
  • Employee health questionnaire and TB screening self-evaluation on file
• Completion of approximately 81 Relias training modules prior to first shift and orientation (up to 8 hours allowed for orientation)

Additional Notes

• Candidates who have worked at the facility for 1 year or more must update physical exam annually
• Background checks and certifications must be current and meet facility standards
• Facility is strict about obtaining all required documentation and evaluations
