Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Tampa, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology)
• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Caseload: 20-30 cases per day
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma, Level I Pediatric Trauma
• Unit Details:

  • 4 procedure rooms (3 with biplane imaging)
  • Equipment includes Siemens and GE systems
  • Procedures include stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy & thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management, oncology procedures (Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations), stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrogram, kyphoplasty, vascular and neurological studies, stroke thromectomy IR experience required
• Charting System: Cerner EMR (preferred)
• Scrub Color: Black or Navy
• Parking: Included

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted)

Work Requirements

• Weekend Work: Required
• On-Call: Yes, 8-10 call days per month including one Saturday per month; 30-minute response time required; on-call sleep rooms available
• Floating: Floating within scope of practice required to meet facility needs; no floating to sister facilities
• Block Schedule: Possible, to be discussed during interview
• Locals Accepted: Yes
• Pending License: Not accepted
• Return to Origin (RTO) Restrictions: None in contract
• Guaranteed Hours: Apply after first call off per pay period

• Photo for Badge: Clear, professional photo with solid background required prior to start
• Dress Code & Tobacco Policy: Must be acknowledged and followed
• Mandatory Online Modules: Must register and complete facility-specific training modules prior to start (approx. 4-8 hours)
• Hurricane Exemption Survey: Required if working during June 1 - November 30 window
• Privacy and Affidavit Documents: Required for all candidates

This position is suitable for first-time travel Interventional Radiology Technologists. Candidates must be prepared for a fast-paced environment with a diverse case mix and be able to respond quickly when on call.
