Job Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 19:00 - 7:30)
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit: Respiratory Care Unit (High acuity stepdown unit)
Patient Ratio: 3:1 Nurse Practitioner ratio, up to 4:1 depending on staffing
Float: Required as needed
Holidays: Required as needed
Travel Pairs: Not considered
Local Candidates: Considered within a 60-mile radius

Required Experience

Minimum 3 years recent critical care experience with acute and chronically ill patients requiring ventilator support
Experience in Trauma and Neuro care is required
Preferred experience includes Charge RN, SICU, MICU, Trauma, and Stroke

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Florida
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (3 years of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma patients
Ventilator support experience
Neuro patient care experience
Stroke experience
Experience with Epic
