Overview

• Location: Valencia, California
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours
• Start times: 7:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 12:00 PM
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend required
• Floating: Possible
• Commitment: Candidate must be fully committed; cancellations may result in DNR status
• Scheduling note: Most shifts will be 12:00 PM and 10:00 AM, with occasional 7:00 AM starts
• Time-off request: RTO must be submitted up front

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS
• MAB or CPI
• NIHSS

Experience / Clinical Skills

• General Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric patients
• Level II trauma center experience
• STEMI and stroke-certified facility experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management
• 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Arterial line management
• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• Phlebotomy and starting IVs
• Continuous IV paralytics and sedation
• Emergency medications and IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration
• Neuro, ortho, abdominal, respiratory, infectious, psychiatric, and trauma-related emergency care
• Chest tube insertion/management
• CPAP/BiPAP
• ABG interpretation
• Intubation and ventilated patient care
• Triage
• Isolation precautions
