Pediatric Behavioral Health Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3 shifts/week)
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3 shifts/week)
• Hours per week: 36
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care
• Total Beds: 109
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Any color allowed except OR/Critical Care/ED/Maternal Child units (scrubs provided for these units)
• Parking: No fee
• Floating: Required to float between units based on needs and skill set, including possible floating to multiple nearby facilities within reasonable distance
• Weekends: Required every other weekend
• On-call: Not required
• Block schedules: Not required
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 (day), 1:10 (night)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon
• Pediatric Behavioral Health experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
• Behavioral Health experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card (as applicable)
• Background Check:

  • Within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • Includes SSN Trace, Death Master Index, Nationwide Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3, Education Verification, MVR (if applicable)
  • Oregon Abuse/Neglect Search if applicable
• E-Verify attestation
• Education Verification: Nursing degree verification required
• Employment Application: Must include last 5 years of employment with month/year format
• References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
• Skills Checklist: Required and must be updated annually
• Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer or declination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted
• Drug Screen: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
• Respirator Safety Clearance: Required for travel candidates, medically cleared annually
• Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required

Training & Competency Requirements

• Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Competency exams as required by specialty/unit
• Epic training modules completion required prior to or shortly after orientation

• Floating to other units and facilities is common and may include multiple locations in the region
• Floating to certain locations may include additional incentives and accommodations (e.g., hotel for consecutive shifts)
• 48-hour shifts are not approved for this assignment
