Job Summary

Provide professional nursing care for pediatric patients independently within accepted nursing practice and hospital policies. Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care. Teach and direct clinical support staff in delegated tasks to implement therapeutic care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records; promptly report changes or concerns.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Provide emotional support and advocate for patients’ rights.
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with medical advancements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of one year of pediatric nursing experience, with recent experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Facility Information

• The hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access facility offering Medical, Surgical, Intensive Care, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Mental Health services.
• Outpatient services include Pulmonary, Cardiac, and Physical Rehabilitation.
• Provides 24-hour Emergency Care, a fully equipped laboratory, and extensive Radiology services.
