Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: 36 hours per week, every other week (EOW)
- Patient focus: Post-cardiac patients, cardiac drips, and stroke patients
- Specialty: Telemetry nursing with cardiac and stroke care experience
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 1 year of cardiology experience, including experience within the last year
- Stroke care experience
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
Required Onboarding and Compliance
- Current and valid RN license verification dated within 30 days of start
- Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year
- Skills checklist for clinical contractors
- Fit test and respirator evaluation with physician signature
- COVID-19 vaccination proof or approved exemption/declination (with agency letterhead)
- Proof of MMR, Hepatitis B vaccination series, Influenza vaccine, Varicella immunity, and Tdap vaccine (or declination if no pediatric interaction)
- 2-step PPD or IGRA TB test with chest x-ray if positive (per state requirements)
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
- Background checks including federal, nationwide, county criminal, SSN verification, education verification, and various professional screenings dated within 30 days of start
- Signed professional and compliance forms including code of conduct, confidentiality agreements, conflict of interest disclosure, and system access forms
