Job Description

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in Cath Lab
• Shift: Days (6:30 AM to 3:00 PM), flexible schedule
• On-Call: Yes, rotating call schedule (12-15 days per month, including every other weekend)
• Float between two nearby facilities
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrubs: Any color allowed; hospital provides scrubs
• RN with Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN Cath Lab experience required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Must pass:

  • Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%)
  • Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (minimum 80%)
  • Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
  • Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
• Nursys license verification report (within 30 days)
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID or Passport
• National Criminal Background Check (within one year of start date; must be completed before assignment start in TX)
• Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation)
• Prime Agency Attestation and Prime SAM/EPLS clearance

Health and Safety Requirements

• COVID-19: 2 vaccines plus booster or completed declination
• Influenza vaccine or declination (required November 1 - March 31)
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer showing immunity
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity (declinations not accepted at some locations)
• Varicella vaccination or immunity
• Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted at some locations)
• TB test within 1 year of start date
• Annual respirator fit test (must be completed prior to start if not available onsite)
• Drug screening: Minimum 10-panel test including THC, within 60 days of start

Additional Requirements

• Updated resume reflecting recent work history at time of offer acceptance
• Two professional references required (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor)
• Prime Skills Checklist completion
• Prime Drug Screening and Color-blind test (annual)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of RN Cath Lab experience required
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Summary

This is a 13-week long-term RN Cath Lab assignment in Texas with day shifts and rotating on-call duties. Candidates must have at least 2 years of Cath Lab nursing experience, current Texas RN licensure, and required certifications including BLS and ACLS. Multiple exams and health screenings are mandatory prior to onboarding. The role involves working with Epic charting and floating between two facilities.
